Daechang Chairman Cho Si-young received the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, the highest industrial honor, at the 10th Middle Market Enterprise Day ceremony held on December 16, 2024 at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The event was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Federation of Middle Market Enterprises of Korea. Marking the 10th anniversary of the Special Act on Middle Market Enterprises, the ceremony presented a record 57 awards to contributors. The Gold Tower Order is the highest-grade decoration awarded to business leaders who have made outstanding contributions to industrial development.

Background of the Award

Since founding Daechang Industrial Co. in 1974, Chairman Cho has been recognized for 50 years of contributions to technological advancement and localization in the non-ferrous metals industry. His major achievements include the successful domestic development and mass production of copper anodes for printed circuit board plating, strong management performance after listing in 1989, global leadership in brass rods, and continued R&D investment through the company research institute established in 1988.
